Happy Holidays

Come celebrate with open mic!

Dear Pamlico Writers–

We had a small but mighty group for critiques on Tuesday night. We are doing some amazing writing! The plot thickens everywhere you look. Our favorite American videographer is getting into even more trouble in Germany. A questioning federal employee is being followed by a suspicious stranger. An unfolding and beautiful fantasy landscape is capturing our imaginations. The sounds of thunder and jazz are competing for a poet’s identity. And an irascible grammarian is learning when she’s crossed the line.

To finish out December, we will gather for Open Mic and Christmas cheer at The Main Cup on Tuesday, December 19 at 5:00 pm. Food, coffee, and cider will be provided. Come if you can and bring a friend. We’ve also invited the PamPack Creative Writing Club. If you can’t make it, have a Merry Christmas and we will see you in 2024.

If It’s Tuesday!

Dear Pamlico Writers–

We Pamlico Writers are motoring through October. We continue to offer something every Tuesday, and we hope you can join us for one or both of the following:

PROMPT WRITING–OCT 24!

Gentlemen (and ladies), start your engines! We will gather at the Turnage, choose a couple of random words and write like heck until the buzzer buzzes. Write anything that comes into your head–just keep that pen moving. The creative magic of prompt writing has cured many a case of writer’s block. Come surprise yourself. 7pm at the Turnage.

LUNCH WITH SARAH SWAN–OCT 31!

Have lunch with PWG friends and New Bern writer, Sarah Maury Swan. Find out about Sarah’s Young Adult novels and more! 11am-1:00pm at China Bay Buffet, 2871 US-17 BUS, Chocowinity, NC. It’s a buffet; no reservations required.

If you are a writer whether poetry or prose, this group is so welcoming and fun!

Mandy leads this eclectic group with her friendly smile. The wonderful people at Main Cup are always pleasant and often join us.

Mandy has made this a safe and comfortable space to share our stories. She hosts open mic on the first and third Tuesdays. You don’t want to miss it but warning, it’s addictive!
